Why we built it.
Most clock apps are designed to be looked at. This one is designed to be glanced at. That single distinction drove every decision in the product: type large enough to read without focusing, contrast high enough to work at a distance, and a night mode dim enough that it never becomes the brightest thing in a dark room. The app runs as a foreground service so the display stays up while you use other things, and includes anti-burn handling because a screen showing the same digits for eight hours needs it.
