Terms of Use
Last updated
These terms apply when you use any Svolto app or this website. By installing or using our apps, you agree to them.
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Svolto(“Svolto”, “we”, “us”), an independent mobile product studio based in India.
Licence to use our apps
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use our apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. This licence is in addition to, and does not replace, the terms of the app store you downloaded from.
You may not:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or create derivative works of our apps, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
- redistribute, resell, rent or sublicense our apps;
- remove or obscure any proprietary notices;
- use our apps to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, or interfere with the service or other users.
Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Some features are available through a subscription or a one-off in-app purchase. All payments are processed by the app store you purchased through — currently Google Play — and are subject to that store’s terms.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel in the Play Store. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the paid period ends. See Support for the steps.
- Refunds: handled by the app store under its refund policy, not by us directly.
- Pricing: we may change prices. Changes never apply to a period you have already paid for, and you will be told before a change affects a renewal.
Advertising
Free versions of our apps display advertising. We do not control the content of third-party ads and are not responsible for the products or services they promote. Removing ads via in-app purchase stops ad requests from that app.
Availability and changes
We work to keep our apps available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features — or an entire app — at any time. If we discontinue a paid app, we will act reasonably and in line with the relevant app store’s policies in respect of any subscription you have already paid for.
Our apps depend on your device, its operating system and its network connection, and on services operated by third parties. Changes to any of these can affect how an app behaves.
Intellectual property
Svolto and its apps, including their names, logos, designs, text, graphics and code, are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.
Your content
Any content you create in our apps remains yours. Where an app stores content on your device, you are responsible for backing it up — uninstalling an app may remove it permanently.
Disclaimers
Our apps are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that an app will meet your requirements or that any defect will be corrected.
Our apps are not intended for use in any situation where failure could lead to death, personal injury, or environmental or financial damage. Timekeeping, alarm and notification features depend on your device and its operating system, and should not be relied on as the sole means of meeting a critical obligation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Svolto will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of our apps. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
Termination
You may stop using our apps at any time by uninstalling them. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will revise the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use our apps after a change means you accept the updated terms.
